THE FRAGRANCE

Ward Red opens with something unexpected and immediately exciting — bright strawberry and rose, simultaneously sweet and confident. Then black pepper arrives and sharpens everything. The fruit becomes richer. The rose deepens.

The heart is cinnamon and benzoin — warm, resinous, and genuinely Arabian in character. This is the fragrance tradition of the mukhallat, where warm spices and resins create depth and complexity rather than simply adding sweetness. Benzoin in particular is the note that makes Ward Red smell expensive. Soft, vanillic, ancient — it bridges the spice heart and the base seamlessly.

That base is tobacco. Not cigarette smoke — the warm, dark, amber-adjacent tobacco used in the finest Oriental perfumes. On skin it is seductive and lingering. Ward Red on the wrist at hour ten smells better than it did at application. This is the tobacco effect: it improves as it dries.

Longevity: 10 to 14 hours. The longest-lasting in the collection.

HOW TO APPLY

One touch of applicator on inner wrist. Touch wand to neck. Allow to settle. Ward Red is concentrated — less is more. In warm weather the spice projection intensifies.
